Microsoft, yesterday, held their San Francisco event that will unveil the newest and latest version of Windows. In a surprise to all, Microsoft will dub the new Windows, ‘Windows’ or ‘Windows 10’; skipping over the expected Windows 9 codename. Terry Myerson, VP of operating systems at Microsoft, said it well in stating that it is a substantial leap to skip the Windows 9 branding. “Windows 10 will run on the broadest amount of devices. A tailored experience for each device,” Myerson said. “There will be one way to write a universal application, one store, one way for apps to be…

Over the past few months, my assortment of headphone reviews has grown to a point where you can find reviews of gaming, music, and everyday headphones. What I have come to learn after all this is that to construct audio equipment it takes time, precision, and a knowledge of the audio market. When it comes to our headphones, we expect them to last for years and never miss a beat. We also expect a modern style that continues to stay popular and unique. Manufacturers that have been in the audio business for a long time, and make their income from…

Take a quick glance at your computer desk lamp and ask yourself how long have you had that lamp? Does it follow the old fashion desk lamp design? Could it be time for an upgrade? Using a secondary hard drive running in RAID 1 or just as a backup storage drive is an excellent first step towards having a reliable backup. As 2014 comes to a slow end, and 2015 bringing us new technology, Microsoft is hard at work on their newest operating system, Windows 9; or at least that’s what we’re calling it for now. It may be safe to say that the days of clever naming schemes of XP and Vista are gone. Over the previous week, two German based websites leaked a large assortment of screenshots showing off new features of Windows 9. Hitting towards a Windows 7 desktop style, but carrying over the Windows 8 metro applications, Microsoft appears to be reaching out to both the PC…

“Our brand is sponsored by a famous singer!” “Check out our brand, we have 7.1 audio in a headset!” We see these statements all the time when researching headphones. Businesses in the audio market use these particular statements to attain two goals. Goal number one being to increase popularity. The product doesn’t have to be built to the best standards, or sound the best, but as long as popular iconic faces recommend the product people will buy it; it’s all about the sales numbers. Number two, is usage of false statements when selling the product. 7.1 audio surround sound capabilities…
