Every year, America’s Favorite Pet contest kicks off with hundreds of cats and dogs to be self-nominated to win the grand pet title.
This year, we’ve decided to enter our cat, Ricky, into the running and he’s currently made it past round one, sitting in the top 20 of America’s pet entries! Please help us out and vote for our “bud” in being America’s Favorite Pet!
Ricky is a fluffy, energetic, cuddly, sweet little boy who loves hugs, naps, and food!
What’s your cat’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?
Ricky adores his soccer balls and performs some cat-like acrobatic jump kicks when scoring his goals. Pre-game Ricky will use his tall scratching post to get those little legs warmed up and ready for the running. Post game he relaxes with his cat-nipped infused pineapple where he lays belly exposed for scratching time.
What is your favorite thing about your cat?
There aren’t enough available characters allowed to describe my favorite things about Ricky. He knows how we’re feeling, crawls up onto my lap every night after work, is an unmovable rock in the queen bed during the night, hunts down bubbles from his toy, sleeps in his makeshift blanketed box home, waits by his food bowl during food times, and meows and talks all the time.
Why should your cat be America’s Favorite?
If you’ve ever met Ricky, he’s not your ordinary cat. He greets people at the door, doesn’t mind being held tight or picked right up, enjoys his hair cut, nails clipped, is active during the day, and is just an overall fun lovin’ boy. Ricky is America’s Favorite is because he’s simply everyone’s favorite. Including mine!
