Three months after the end of Microsoft support for Windows XP, Oracle has taken a quiet approach to end all support for their for Java running on the Windows XP platform. With quarterly security updates, Oracle has stated that the upcoming July 15th updates will not be available for Windows XP. Users will be left to use Java 7u60. With many major businesses making the transition into the newest editions of Windows and Office, they need the hardware and performance to match. As there are hundreds of options for different professional grade notebooks, it becomes a challenge to find the right one. These notebooks need to withstand years of use, business traveling, and be ready to perform in any business environment; the last thing you need is a notebook failing before, or worse, during a meeting. It’s unlikely that you’ve ever heard anybody dislike a magnesium-aluminum alloy notebook with MIL-STD-810G United States military standards to match. Cue the HP…

The most popular type of camera is the typical point and shoot camera. It is excellent for quick, easy, and pleasing photos that people can share with friends and family. In fact this is the type of camera that I personally prefer and use. With smartphones including better quality cameras, we are seeing more competition between the smartphone camera and the point and shoot camera. Therefore, many people question the decision to purchase a point and shoot camera. I recently had the opportunity to test and review the Olympus Stylus TG-850 point and shoot camera, and may I say that…

To everyone’s surprise, the Canadian smartphone manufacturer has produced a quarterly profit. With the company previously losing millions of dollars a year, they may not be hitting top financial charts but at least they are stabilizing. As Blackberry has finally understood that keyboards on phones are a thing of the past, and created the new Blackberry Z and Q phones, they report that 2.6 million…

Just recently, I purchased a new laptop that I have come to very much enjoy. Something I took notice of immediately was the fully illuminated keys. Never before had I experienced such a thing, and now I could easily see every key…

My reviews with RAVPower have always been a pleasure to write and I find myself using their battery chargers almost every day. The chargers, however, are typically one time chargers meaning they can charge one device to full power then need to be charged themselves. The chargers also typically only charge USB devices like tablets and phones. Now, RAVPower has provided me with a new advanced charger, one that charges more than your tablet and phone and one that lasts weeks with its higher storage capacity. Throughout my review of the RAVPower Xtreme, I will be writing about the following…

As a new fan of Paragon-Software, and others here on the forum also…

Being a member of the Tech Support Forum Hardware team, as well as maintaining the TSF Build Guide, I make sure to only recommend the highest spec computer components that I have found. My recommendations are based on what I personally would use in my system along with known quality brands. As any computer enthusiast will know, third party processor coolers are a must have for any heavy gamer or overclocking user. As an advocate of air cooled CPUs, there are only a few CPU cooler brands I would recommend to users. Being the standard for all CPU cooling manufacturers,…
